Sioux City Musketeers News Release

Team USA announced the addition of Bobby Brink to their U18 World Championship roster ahead of their preliminary round game against Russia on Sunday morning. The team has already played two exhibition games and two preliminary round games with their only loss coming in the first exhibition game against Finland.

It's no surprise Brink added to a roster loaded with NHL Draft picks after his outstanding season in the USHL. Brink ended 4th in the USHL in scoring while playing in 19 fewer games than the three scorers above him. Brink recorded 68 points (35 G, 33 A) in 43 games this season, good for 1.58 Pt/g which places him 3rd in the USHL just behind Team USA teammates Alex Turcotte and Jack Hughes.

"It was a super fun year, and the whole experience has been awesome. It's been one of the most fun years of hockey in my life, and I will definitely cherish it forever" said Brink when asked about his outstanding year in the USHL.

He now joins a USA program that is searching for their 8th gold medal in 11 years. Last year they came up just short in the championship game against Finland, a team that has been trading the top of the podium with the United States since 2016.

"It's really cool. Anytime you get to represent your country it's a great opportunity and to play with the players on this team is going to be pretty awesome" said Brink when asked about joining Team USA.

Brink will start the tournament on the team's 2nd line on the wing of Alex Turcotte and opposite Matthew Boldy. His first game will against Russia in another preliminary round game before the medal round starts on April 25th.
