Brigade enter Game 2 of playoff series with 12-point advantage
The Brigade hold a 12-point advantage heading into the second weekend of the AFL postseason. Baltimore hosts Game 2 of the semifinal series, determined by aggregate scoring, against Philadelphia on Friday, July 20 at 7 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. The winner of the series will advance to ArenaBowl XXXI and take on the winner of the Albany vs. Washington series. Friday night's game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
10 Brigade players named to AFL All-Arena teams
The AFL announced on Tuesday selections for the 2018 All-Arena First and Second Teams, which include 10 Brigade players in 11 positions. Six Brigade players were named First Team All-Arena, highlighted by kick returner Brandon Thompkins and kicker Mark Lewis, each making their fourth All-Arena appearance. Brigade top Soul, 57-45, in Game 1
The Brigade beat the Philadelphia Soul, 57-45, Sunday night in the first meeting of the two-game semifinal series. Brigade quarterback Randy Hippeard was named the game's Most Valuable Player after throwing for 212 yards and seven total touchdowns (six passing, one rushing). Brigade defensive back Joe Powell was named Defensive Player of the Game, totaling 5.5 tackles and one interception.
