Brigade sell 8,912 season tickets
February 27, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Kansas City Brigade News Release
The Kansas City Brigade announced today that 8,912 fans purchased season tickets for the inaugural season. There will still be 6-game and Flex Plan (four games) packages available, and seats still remain in the lower bowl, but those numbers will not count under the official season ticket holder count.
"To have a season ticket goal of 7,000-8,000 and to surpass that by nearly 1,000 is not only exciting for our organization and the Arena Football League, but also for Kansas City," Owner Tyler Prochnow said. "We take great pride in providing all of our fans with a great experience and an allegiance to their hometown team, and the season ticket holders certainly help drive that fact."
The Kansas City Brigade will face the Tampa Bay Storm this Sunday at Kemper Arena, at 3pm. As of today, over 12,800 tickets had been sold, which means there will be tickets available for walk-up at Kemper on Sunday (or by calling TicketMaster at 816-931-3330). Not only are ticket sales going well, but so is Brigade merchandise. The team has already had to re-order more of everything, including replica jerseys and sweatshirts, which should arrive before the homestand ends. The Brigade is on course to set an AFL record in merchandise sales for a season.
