Brigade Pass 5,000 Season Tickets

December 22, 2005 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Kansas City Brigade News Release

The Kansas City Brigade (Arena Football League) surpassed the 5,000 season ticket plateau late yesterday, reaching yet another milestone for the new franchise. Ticket sales have been on a consistent course for the last three weeks, averaging over 100 season tickets sold per day.

The Kansas City Brigade has seen a steady rise in tickets since they went on sale October 24th, less than two months ago. After averaging around 30 season tickets sold a day for the first two weeks, the number has risen every week since. The goal for the organization remains between 7,000-8,000 season tickets sold before the home opener on February 12th, at Kemper Arena.

"We are extremely pleased with the progress we've made, but that does not mean we will become complacent," Owner Tyler Prochnow said. "We do not compare ourselves to other teams in the AFL, or to other leagues, and our objective continues to be to sell out Kemper Arena and to have the Kansas City Brigade become successful on and off the field."

The Arena League Football attendance average was 12,829 last year and the Philadelphia Soul led the league with 16,121 fans per game. Only two teams averaged less than 11,172 fans. Kemper Arena holds 16,200 for AFL games.

"The season starts at Dallas on January 29th and the inaugural game in Kansas City is February 12th, so the season is approaching," General Manager Reggie Harris said. "There are still great seats available, as the vantage point for fans at Kemper Arena watching a Kansas City Brigade game is phenomenal. Seventy-five percent of the fans at Kemper are closer to the action than any seats at an outdoor football venue. We plan on filling Kemper and providing a memorable fan experience each and every game."

For all season tickets, group tickets, or flex plans, please call the Kansas City Brigade ticket office at (913) 248-6250 or stop by their offices at 10314 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Ste. 250, Shawnee Mission, KS 66203.

For all individual game day tickets, stop by the Kemper Arena box office or call TicketMaster at (816) 931-3330 (on sale January 16th, at 10am). These ticket prices range from $9-$110.

Season tickets range from $72-$880 for the 8-game home regular season, with a lot of benefits included. All season ticket holders hold the first right to playoff tickets, discounted merchandise, a season tickets holder party and other ‘Meet the Team' events, and one autographed Neil Smith AFL replica football for every four (4) season tickets sold in the Lower Level.

Group tickets are already on sale. For groups of 15-99 people, the price is discounted $2 per ticket and for groups of 100 or more it is a discount of $4 per ticket.

Flex Plan (4-Packs) ticket sales are going well. Fans will receive tickets to four games: the home opener (inaugural home game for the Kansas City Brigade) versus the Austin Wranglers on Sunday, February 12th; Sunday, April 9th versus the Los Angeles Avengers; Sunday, April 16th versus the Colorado Crush; and one game of your choice. The Flex plans range from $36-$360.
