Brigade Joins In Big High School Tailgate

The Kansas City Brigade will be joining in the festivities at the Kansas City Missouri School District Tailgate Party on Thursday, October 11th, 2007. The party will kick off one of the biggest football games of the year. It pits two undefeated teams in the district: Central High School vs. Lincoln Prep. Academy. The game will be televised by Metro Sports, who will also be on hand for the Tailgate Party.

The Brigade will have several team players on hand, as well as Brigade Girls, and their mascot Captain Max Runway, all of whom will be signing autographs and talking with fans during the Tailgate Party. The team will be giving away ten sets of 2 tickets to the home opener at the Sprint Center, along with tee shirts and other prizes. Also, The Brigade will present a special team jersey to Mr. Anthony Amato, School District Superintendent.

The game and tailgate party will be at the East District Stadium, 1924 Van Brunt, near Truman and Van Brunt in Kansas City. According to Mr. Ed Corporal, District Director of Athletics, a big crowd is expected and fans are encouraged to arrive early. The tailgate party officially gets underway at 5:30 p.m., and kickoff is at 7:05 p.m.

Central High is coached by Head Coach Henry Newel, and Lincoln Prep. Academy is coached by Head Coach Roger Franks. Both teams have had outstanding seasons, but only one will remain undefeated in league play after Thursday night's game. The Kansas City Brigade congratulates the players of each squad on their hard work and success.
