Tampa Bay Storm To Host Dance Team Auditions

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm announced auditions for the 2008 Tampa Bay Storm Dancers. The tryouts will be held November 4 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Icons with registration starting at 11 a.m.

Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Sunday, November 4 just outside of Icons. All dancers must enter through the Chrysler/Jeep entrance next to Shots on the main plaza. Those that are pre-registered will need to pick up their number and have their identification verified at this time.

The final auditions will take place on Thursday, November 8 at the St. Pete Times Forum on the Chrysler/Jeep Plaza stage beginning at 7 p.m. With Shots at Channelside open join special guest judges as final auditions are free and open to the public.

Interested dancers can pre-register by downloading the necessary forms from www.tampabaystorm.com and then mailing the forms, resume, photo, and a registration fee of $20 to: Tampa Bay Storm Dancers, c/o Hope Reep, 401 Channelside Dr., Tampa, FL 33602. Checks should be made out to Tampa Bay Arena.

In addition to tryouts, there will be a pre-audition workshop on Tuesday, October 30 from 7-10 p.m. at the Forum in Icons. The cost of the class is $25. The applicants attending the workshop will learn dance routines and techniques, audition tips, including hair and make-up and team commitments from veteran Storm Dancers.

Those who participate in the workshop will also receive $10 off the audition registration fee. Applicants should fill out the registration form and submit payment prior to October 30 to save a spot in the class.
