SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage have named Brian McCormack as the club's new Broadcast and Media Relations Manager and radio play-by-play announcer for all 76 games on Ticket 760 AM. McCormack replaces Dan Weiss as the fourth "Voice of the Rampage" in team history.
"We are excited to welcome Brian to our organization," said Mike Kickirillo, SS&E Sr. Director of Broadcasting. "Brian is a solid play-by-play announcer who possesses an excellent feel for the game and can provide a great picture to the listener."
McCormack joins the Rampage after spending the past three seasons as the Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. In addition to calling all Steelheads games on radio and television, McCormack served as the television broadcaster for the 2018 ECHL All-Star Classic on NHL Network. The 29-year-old was honored as the 2017-18 ECHL Broadcaster of the Year.
"We look forward to Brian joining the Rampage staff," said Ryan Snider, SS&E Sr. Director of Franchise Business Operations. "In addition to being a talented broadcaster, Brian's public relations and digital media experience will be a great asset to our organization. We believe our fans will enjoy both his friendly personality and knowledge of the game."
McCormack worked as a Digital Media Intern with the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2014-15 season providing editorial content for the Blue Jackets website. The Long Island, N.Y. native is a graduate of SUNY-Geneseo where he earned degrees in communications and political science and served as the Ice Knights play-by-play announcer for three years.
Along with calling all Rampage regular season and playoff games, McCormack will oversee the club's communications department.
Season tickets are available for the 2018-19 San Antonio Rampage campaign and can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at SARampage.com.
