Sioux Falls, SD-The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced on Monday that Art Brey (Bry) has been named CCM Goaltender of the Week after stopping 45 of 46 shots and posting a .978 save percentage in two victories over the weekend. It marks the second time this season that Brey has earned the award.

On Thursday, Brey earned his second shutout of the season, stopping all 18 shots faced in a 4-0 victory over Fargo. He followed that performance up by stopping 27 of 28 shots in a 3-1 win over the Bloomington Thunder on Friday at the PREMIER Center. The wins improved the Stampede's record to 30-20-5 on the season and helped them secure a playoff spot while extending their home winning streak to eight games.

The Yorba Linda, CA native committed to St. Lawrence University just prior to the games last week and is 9-8-2 with a 2.40 goals against average and a .894 save percentage this season. His goals against average ranks fourth amongst all USHL goaltenders. He is 3-1-0 with a 2.20 goals against average and a .908 save percentage over his last six appearances.

Brey and the Stampede return to action this Wednesday when they host the Des Moines Buccaneers at 7:05 PM. The Herd will also be home this Friday and Saturday night at the PREMIER Center.

Saturday night is "Comfy Cozy's Night," presented by Capital One. Players will be wearing special tie-dyed jerseys that will be available through a silent auction during the game with proceeds benefiting Comfy Cozy's and children with cancer in Sioux Falls. Tickets are available through the KELOLAND Box Office or any Ticketmaster location.
