Brett Jones named assistant general manager

The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team, today, October 14th, 2009, announce the promotion of Brett Jones to assistant general manager. Brett is in his 5th year with the Knights. He spent the first two years in various operation roles, before being promoted to equipment manager in 2007. Brett is currently pursuing his bachelor degree in Biological Sciences, and will graduate in the fall of 2009. "Brett has earned this promotion and will be an asset to the front office staff of the Knights," stated, David Darkey, Battle Creek Knights general manager.

The Battle Creek Knights will have the 9th and 18th picks in the 2nd Premier Basketball League draft on Thursday, October 16th, at the ESPN Sports Zone in Chicago, IL. The draft will be viewed on television and the internet. Further detailed information on the PBL draft will be released soon.

Sir Jam a Lot, Battle Creek Knights mascot, will be a participator in the Marshall Michigan, Scarecrow Festival Children's Parade at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, October 18th, 2008.

Battle Creek Knights are hosting a free agent/mini camp Friday, October 24th, 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 25th, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 2008, at the Salvation Army Gymnasium, 1215 E.
