LONDON, ONTARIO - The London Rippers are thrilled to announce, former pitcher, Brett Gray, will be at Labatt Park tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5th, to throw out the first pitch before the London Rippers take on the Normal Cornbelters.

Gray, a Petrolia native, spent the 1999 and 2000 season with the London Werewolves of the Frontier League.

He finished 3rd in the Frontier League in wins, leading the Werewolves to a league championship with the Werewolves in 1999.

Gray also pitched for Team Canada in the 2001 and 2005 Baseball World Cup, allowing no earned runs in either tournament - which tied for the best mark by any pitcher who had thrown in multiple World Cups.

One of Brett's career highlights was the night of June 5th, 2000, when pitching for the London Werewolves he struck out 25 Chillicothe Paints batters in a 9-1 win.

The 25 strikeouts is still a Frontier League record.

After that season, Gray signed a contract with the Cincinnati Reds, spending four seasons in their minor league farm system.

Tickets are still available at by calling 519-645-1800 or at the Team Store in the Market Tower.

Be sure to come early and welcome back one of London's greatest baseball prospects.

Gametime is 6:30pm at Labatt Park.
