Brent Rich Named Utah Flash Team Physician

PROVO, Utah, Nov. 20, 2007 - The Utah Flash announced today that Brent S.E. Rich M.D., ATC has been named team physician.

Dr. Rich is the director of Utah Valley Sports Medicine and the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. Additionally, he is director of sports medicine for the Urban South Region of Intermountain Healthcare.

Dr. Rich has served as team physician for both Brigham Young University and Utah Valley State College since 2005. He brings additional experience to the Flash after also serving as team physician for the 2000 United States Olympic Team in Sydney, Australia, the Arizona Diamondbacks (1995-2005), Arizona State University (1993-2003) and the 1998 and 2002 United States Paralympic Teams.

The Flash opens its inaugural season Nov. 24 in Southern California against the Anaheim Arsenal and then visits the Los Angeles D-Fenders at the STAPLES Center on Nov. 25. The home opener is set for Nov. 27 against the Dakota Wizards at the McKay Events Center in Orem. Tipoff is 7 p.m. MT.
