
Brennen Davis Expected to Make Triple-A Debut

DES MOINES, IA - Outfielder Brennen Davis is expected to make his Triple-A Debut with the Iowa Cubs this week as they take on the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park.
Davis, the Chicago Cubs No. 1 overall prospect according to MLB.com, has played in 84 total games this year including 76 with Double-A Tennessee. He is batting .252 (67-for-266) with 20 doubles, 13 home runs and 36 RBI with the Smokies this season.
The 21-year-old was drafted in the second round of the 2018 draft by Chicago, the same year the Cubs drafted Nico Hoerner with their first round selection.
In this year's All-Star Futures Game, Davis hit two home runs and was named Futures Game Most Valuable Player. After that game, he climbed from the No. 45 prospect in all of baseball to where he sits now, as the No. 14 prospect in all of baseball, ranked by MLB.com.
