
Brendan Gallagher Named Calder Trophy Finalist

VANCOUVER, BC - The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate ex-Captain Brendan Gallagher on being one of three finalists for the 2012/13 Calder Memorial Trophy, awarded to the National Hockey League's top rookie.
The Montreal Canadiens winger played 44 regular season games for the club, tallying 15 goals and 13 assists (28 points). In his first appearance in the NHL Playoffs, Gallagher has 2 goals in three games so far for the Canadiens.
Gallagher is the first Giant alumni to be a finalist for an individual NHL award.
The Delta native played 4 seasons with the Giants, logging 280 points (136 goals, 144 assists) in 244 Western Hockey League regular season games.
