Boston Breakers News Release
After last week's showdown in which the Breakers knocked Los Angeles from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 2-1 victory, the two teams will be back at it again when they face each other in a rematch Sunday at 4 p.m. (ET) at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
The Breakers became the first team to score on, and defeat three-time reigning FIFA Women's World Player of the Year Marta and the first-place Los Angeles Sol. WPS April Player of the Month Kelly Smith scored in the second minute, marking the fastest goal scored in league history, before Kristine Lilly got the eventual game-winner in the 55th minute. Brittany Bock pulled one back for the visitors in the 63rd, but the Breakers held on for the win.
