CARSON, CA - Friday, May 8, 2009 - The Los Angeles Sol (Women's Professional Soccer) today announced that defender Kendall Fletcher, forward Christie Welsh and a 2011 second-round draft pick have been traded to the Saint Louis Athletica.

In return, the Sol will receive a conditional 2010 first-round draft pick and a 2011 first-round draft pick. The conditional 2010 first-round draft pick becomes a 2010 second-round draft pick if the Athletica fail to finish the season as one of the top five teams in the WPS.
