Breakers to hold final tryout Sunday

September 28, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Northeast Pennsylvania Breakers News Release

Clarks Summit, PA. Do to the overwhelming response to our tryout camp, the ABA NE Penn Breakers professional basketball team had to turn away several would be players. "We were amazed by the quality and amount of players that want to be breakers," said Al Clocker, head coach. "We had 52 players attend our last camp. We have arranged to bring the team tryout to Philadelphia for the benefit of the players from the South East part of the state. We are putting the Breakers flag on Philly," added Bill Fleming, President of the team. "The rich basketball heritage here cannot be overlooked. We are the closest team to Philadelphia but far enough away that we do not compete with our adopted big brother, the 76'ers."

The tryout will be at the Berean Institute, 1901 West Girard Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19130 on Sunday, October 2nd from 3-5pm. For more information, contact Assistant Coach Mike Richmond at 267 716 1483 or email bigmikerichmond@verizon.net or visit www.nepabreakers.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
