Northeast Pennsylvania Breakers News Release
Scranton, PA-----May 5, 2006 - Missing two starters and only playing with 8 players was not enough to overcome Oklahoma's strong front court game as the visiting Storm defeated the Breakers 125-121 last night at Lackawanna College.
"Our defense was too inconsistent and the foul trouble really hurt us tonight," explained Head Coach Al Clocker. "Give the Storm credit, they palyed tough." One that particularly hurt the Breakers was Terrance Crawford, who led the Storm with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
The Breakers had to play without starters Cory Hightower (ankle injury) and Cory Underwood (family reasons). In their absence Breaker guards Steve Burtt and Lennox McCoy picked up the slack with 29 and 22 points respectively.
Breakers play at home again this Saturday at 7:05 pm at Lackawanna College.
