
Breakers prevail in first road test

April 28, 2006-- Brooklyn, NY After winning two of its first three games, the Breakers took to the road and defeated the Brooklyn Kings 97-88 Friday Night, at Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus.
The Breakers were led by New York City native Chris Sandy, who led the team with 20 pts on 8 of 9 shooting, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Lennox McCoy added 15 pts and Steve Castleberry had 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blks.
"Our defense was the difference tonight," explained Head Coach Albert Clocker, whose team held Brooklyn to 36% from the field. Kaz Nakagawa and Mike Lloyd were the bright spots for the Kings who scored 19 and 20 pts. respectively.
The victroy improves the Breakers' record to 3-1. The Breakers continue their Big Apple road swing on Saturday night when they face Long Island.
