April 28, 2006 - United States Basketball League (USBL)
Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs News Release

LEHIGH VALLEY, PENNSYLVANIA- The Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs (2-0), members of the United States Basketball League (USBL), are please to announce a special "hero rate" in appreciation to the men and women who serve our country.

All men and women of the United States military will receive a special "hero rate" of only $5.00 for admittance to all of the ValleyDawg home games. The exclusive ticket price is half off the $10.00 regular price of admission. The organization is issuing this rate as a small token of appreciation for all that our armed forces do to protect our freedom. In addition to the special rate for our troops, they will also be given a reserved area of seating during each contest.

The ValleyDawgs open up their home slate this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. when they square off against the defending USBL champion Dodge City (Kansas) Legend (1-0). The ValleyDawgs are proud to announce that the Army Recruiting Center of Allentown, led by Sgt. Shelby Hughes, will serve as the team's color guard in the presentation of our American flag.

The ValleyDawgs look to tip off their home opener in style on Saturday when the ball goes up at 7:00 p.m. at William Allen High School in Allentown. The Philadelphia 76ers' dance team will be performing during this weekend's contest, but the fun does not stop there. They will be conducting a "meet and greet" session, as well as doing Sixers t-shirt giveaways throughout the entire game. In addition to having the Sixers dance team, there will also be a deejay on hand to provide musical entertainment before and after the game.

Doors open at 6:30, and all seating is general admission. Ticket prices for kids and high school students are only $5.00, and adult tickets are only $10.00. Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early to assure that they will be admitted into the game.
