Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs News Release
LEHIGH VALLEY, PENNSYLVANIA- A new generation of ValleyDawgs basketball is coming to the Lehigh Valley.
Under the guidance of new owner, Arthur S. Glover, the ValleyDawgs have undergone a massive facelift that will bring the Lehigh community an organization in which they will be proud to call their own. In addition to delivering the best basketball possible, Glover has made it a personal mission to deliver the best entertainment to the community as well.
Manning the sidelines for the ValleyDawgs this season will be National Basketball Association (NBA) legend, Darryl Dawkins. Dawkins, nicknamed "Chocolate Thunder", played 14 successful seasons in the NBA, most notably with the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Nets. Dawkins was one of the first two players to go straight from high school to the NBA. Dawkins is known as one of the innovators of the slam dunk. His dunks were the first to simulate an art form; in-between his glass-shattering power dunks were some of the most creative flushes ever seen. He once broke two backboards in only 23 days. Dawkins' powerful dunk style led to modifications of rims and backboards, making them more absorbable to the force he brought.
With Dawkins keeping the product on the court flourishing, Glover has been grinding out the work to make sure that the ValleyDawg product keeps every fan entertained from the moment they walk into the gym. He will be bringing in professional athletes and dancers from the Eagles, Philadelphia 76ers, and New Jersey Nets, just to name a few.
The V.I.P. guest list will not be stopping within the world of professional sports, either. All season long, fans will find themselves face-to-face with some of the hottest entertainers on the planet, everywhere from the music industry to television and movies. Long story short, the Lehigh Valley community will be given a product like no other.
Announcements will be made all season long in regards to what entertainers will be making appearances and performances for specific games.
The Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs open their season in Brooklyn, New York, this Friday, April 21, squaring off against the Brooklyn Kings.
The first home game for the ValleyDawgs is this Sunday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. All of the ValleyDawgs' home games will be played at the William Allen High School Sports Complex, located at 126 North 17th Street in Allentown.
