
Braves win on O'Keefe home run

RICHMOND, VA- The Richmond Braves beat the Norfolk Tides 3-2 Sunday at The Diamond. Mike O'Keefe hit his first career Triple-A home run with one out in the last of the ninth to give the Braves their first back to back wins of the season.
The Braves fell behind 1-0 in the third on a Jeff Keppinger RBI single. Tony Pena's home run in the bottom half tied the game. The Braves moved in front on a Daniel Curtis' sacrifice fly. The Tides battled back to tie the game when Ron Calloway's fielders choice ground out knocked in a run in the eight. O'Keefe's homer gave the Braves their second straight one-run win over the Tides.
Curtis pitched seven strong innings, allowing just one run. Kevin Barry picked up the win. Scott Strickland took the loss. O'Keefe and Tony Pena each had two hits for the Braves. Brian Daubach went three-for-four for the Tides.
