Bravehearts Host Championship Series Friday Night

With a marathon 15-inning 7-4 victory over Martha's Vineyard on the island Thursday night, the Worcester Bravehearts earned a spot in the Futures League Championship Series for the second consecutive year. This year, the team will host Game 1 of the series on Friday night, August 14th.

The #6 seeded Bravehearts will take on the #2 seeded Bristol Blues for the right to hoist the Commissioner's Trophy as the league champions for the second consecutive year. As the lower seed, Worcester will play two games in the best-of-three game series on the road in Bristol on Saturday and Sunday. Game 1 will take place at 7:05 PM at Hanover Insurance Park in Worcester and will be the Tinal Bravehearts' home game of the season.

All tickets for Friday night's home game are discounted to $5 and available online at worcesterbravehearts.com or by calling the box ofTice at 508-438-3773 beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday morning. Season ticket holders may use the tickets marked "Playoff Game A" in their season ticket books for admission, and fans holding 2015 Flex vouchers, unused season tickets, or tickets to either the June 21st or June 28th rainouts can turn in those tickets for free tickets to Game 1 of the Championship Series on Friday night.

The Bravehearts are also rolling out another surprise for fans: a bonus Tireworks show after the game on Friday in gratitude to the team's loyal fan base who catapulted the Bravehearts to the best summer collegiate attendance record in New England and 12th best in the country.

Gates will open at 6:00 PM Friday, and fans are encouraged to arrive early for the pregame festivities. Game 2 of the FCBL Championship Series will take place on Saturday night in Bristol with Game 3 on Sunday in Bristol if necessary. The Bravehearts won the season series against the Blues 6 games to 4, including an 8-1 victory in the regular season Tinale on Sunday, August 9th.
