Bravehearts Break Attendence Record at Fitton Field
July 26, 2019 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Worcester Bravehearts News Release
Worcester, MA - A record 5,554 fans passed through the gates at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field for Friday night's game against the Nashua Silver Knights, breaking the record set earlier this season on Baseball in Education Day by nearly 500.
Over 2,300 of those in attendance Friday were from UMass Medical Center in Worcester. All veterans who showed up to the gates were let in for free.
Worcester Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson was ecstatic about the new record.
"Worcester is a city full of baseball fans," he said. "It's wonderful to see the support in this city for our organization. We named our fans tonight's players of the game for that reason. The fans are the ones to thank."
