Brampton A's shoot down SkyHawks 111-105

Ottawa, ON. - The Brampton A's defeat the Ottawa SkyHawks 111-105 at the Canadian Tire Centre. The A's improve to 19-8, while the SkyHawks fall to 14-15.

The Brampton A's visited our Nation's Capital to take on the Ottawa SkyHawks at the Canadian Tire Centre. It was a highly anticipated matchup as Ottawa leads the season series 4-3. This was the 8th and final regular season matchup for the National Basketball League of Canada's two newest franchises.

It was a very competitive game between Ottawa and Brampton, as the A's tied the season series 4-4.

Brampton A's shooting guard Cedric Moodie was on fire as he scored 36 points on an incredible 14-17 field goals. Moodie showed why he is in the top 5 in the NBL for three pointers, adding five more tonight; he also added five rebounds to the game. A's three point marksman Scottie Haralson had 17 points, including three 3's. Haralson is top ten in the NBL in three point percentage and three pointers made. Point guards Melvin Council and Evaldas Zabas were in double digits with 16 and 11 points respectively. Brampton centre, Cavell Johnson led the team with 11 rebounds.

The A's increased their NBL league lead with 111 points and 11 three pointers. They also took advantage of Ottawa's 15 turnovers with 21 points. Brampton Head Coach on his team's performance "Best team defense all year & we got great production from Jesse Tipping". The A's bench scored 49 points, led by swingman Jesse Tipping, with 9 points and 5 rebounds.

The A's next home game is this Saturday, January 25 th, tip-off is at 7:00pm at the Powerade Centre, against the Windsor Express. It's family night with great packages for a family of 4, starting at $50.
