Brahmas Win Inaugural Pre-Season Southern Showdown

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - Although the 2019-20 season hasn't officially begun, the Lone Star Brahmas are showing promising signs of another successful season ahead.

The Brahmas and NYTEX Sports Centre hosted the inaugural pre-season Southern Showdown with a perfect 3-0 record while winning each game by three goals!

In the opening game, the Brahmas defeated the Shreveport Mudbugs 6-3 following that up with two 4-1 wins over the Springfield Jr. Blues and Corpus Christi IceRays to conclude the weekend.

Over the three days, fans had their first look at the guys who will make up the soon to be official roster after the final cuts. In three games the Brahmas scored 14 goals with 11 different goal scorers. Joey Baez lead the team with three goals while Thomas Daskas was close behind with two.

Next up for the squad, a trip to Blaine, Minnesota and four games as part of the NAHL Showcase. (See schedule below)

Game 1: Sept. 18th vs. Aberdeen (6pm)

Game 2: Sept. 19th vs. Kenai River (7:30pm)

Game 3: Sept. 20th vs. Bismarck (4pm)

Game 4: Sept. 21st vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (9:30am)
