NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (April 25)-The Texas Brahmas successful 2007-08 season has come to an end and the City of North Richland Hills plans to recognize the team and their accomplishments Monday, April 28 in the City Council Meeting.

Texas Brahmas fans are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting where Brahmas players, coaches and management will be present. The meeting begins at 7 PM in the City Council Chambers at City Hall (7301 NE Loop 820).

The Brahmas resurrected after suspending operations for one season and returned to a new home at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, under a new name as the Texas Brahmas and with new faces behind the bench with Head Coach Dan Wildfong and Assistant Coach Forbes MacPherson.

With all the "new" items, the franchise established a newfound success as they finished the regular season as the hottest team in the Central Hockey League (CHL) leading to the first playoff berth since the 2001 season. The Brahmas went to the Northern Conference Finals, finishing one game short of the CHL Finals.

"We cannot be more excited about our partnership and relationship with the City of North Richland Hills," said NYTEX Sports President Frank Trazzera. "The city has embraced both the team and our facility and we are truly appreciative of their support."
