SEASON SERIES: Tonight's game will be the second of seven this season between the Brahmas and the Ice...This is the first meeting of the year between these two squads in Indianapolis...Ft. Worth defeated the Ice 4-2 on Nov. 2 in Ft. Worth as four different Brahmas players scored goals...The Brahmas are 5-0-1 all time against the Ice...The two teams will meet again tomorrow night at the Pepsi Coliseum as they wrap up a weekend doubleheader.
FORT WORTH NOTES: After a disappointing five game losing streak, the Brahmas appear to have circled the wagons and have won two out of their last three games played, including a 2-1 win at Odessa this past Tuesday...Goaltender Matt Mullin made 49 saves on 50 Jacks shots in that game to raise his save percentage to .928...Left wing Chad Woollard has scored four goals in his last four games and he leads the Brahmas in goals with 9...Center David Fry will be back in the Brahmas lineup tonight after missing the team' s last seven games with injury.
INDIANAPOLIS NOTES: Three playersâforwards Jason Baird and Kevin St. Jacques, as well as defenseman Bernie Johnâhave led the Indy attack this season. Baird leads the Ice in points with 16 (8G/8A) and he is also tied with St. Jacques for the team lead in goals. John, who continues to be one of the dominant blueliners in the CHL, leads all Indy players with 9 assists and has a total of ten points (1G/9A). Despite the impressive efforts of that trio, scoring goals has been the Achilles heel for the Ice this season, as they are last in the CHL in goals for with just 29 in 13 games played. With very little support, the Ice have benefited from solid goaltending from the duo of Shawn Silver and Jamie Morris.
NEXT UP FOR THE BRAHMAS: The Brahmas and the Ice will do it again tomorrow night from the Pepsi Coliseum in Indy, as they are scheduled for a 6:00 CST face off. Ft. Worth will then receive some much needed rest, as the Brahmas will not play again until Thursday, Nov. 28, when they travel to Bossier-Shreveport. For additional information, please contact the Brahmas office at (817) 336-4423.
