Brahmas Notebook: Nov 23-24 vs. Corpus Christi

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - It's a quick turnaround for the Brahmas, who are coming off a 2-1 shootout loss to the Shreveport Mudbugs on Wednesday. Corpus Christi also played Wednesday, defeating the Odessa Jackalopes 5-2.

Gameday Need-to-Know The Brahmas and IceRays are playing a two-game weekend set. It will be the first time the IceRays visit the NYTEX Sports Centre this season. Both Friday and Saturday have 7:30 PM puck drops.

Friday's game is the Brahmas' annual Teddy Bear Toss! Make sure you bring new stuffed animals to throw onto the ice following the Brahmas' first goal of the evening. The donated stuffed animals will be delivered to the Community Enrichment Center.

There will be a postgame jersey auction on Saturday night. Bid on your favorite player's game-worn Military Recognition Specialty Jersey!

If you can't make it to the games, a video stream will be available on Hockey TV.

Last Time We Met... The Brahmas and IceRays split two games at the American Bank Center just last weekend. The Brahmas dropped Friday night's game in overtime and then pulled out a 2-1 win on Saturday to finish the series with three out of four points.

Harrison Feeney made 31 saves in the 3-2 loss on Friday. IceRays forward Jordan Randall scored both Corpus Christi goals in regulation. Blake Bennett scored in overtime. Michal Stinil and Vilho Saariluoma were the Lone Star goal-scorers.

Saturday's win came courtesy of a sparkling 30-save performance from Seth Eisele and goals from Andrew DeCarlo and Thomas Daskas. Defenseman Josh Martin recorded two assists for his first multi-point NAHL game.

Quick Notes

With the point picked up in the shootout loss on Wednesday, the Brahmas took possession of second place in the NAHL South Division. Corpus Christi currently sits in fifth place.

The Brahmas' season record against Corpus Christi is 2-1-1. All previous games have been played at the American Bank Center.

Keep an eye on rookie forward Matt Guerra, as he's been able to produce (2-3-5) in four games against the IceRays. Other players who have put up points against the IceRays include defenseman Blake Evennou (four assists in four games) and Michal Stinil (one goal and one assist in two games).

The Brahmas hold a significant edge in head-to-head goaltending despite the small sample size, with Harrison Feeney sporting a .929 save percentage in three games and Seth Eisele putting up a .968 save percentage in his sole game against the IceRays. Sam Best has been in net for all four games against the Brahmas and has a save percentage of .911.
