Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (January 23) - The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) revamped their roster this afternoon by bringing in rookie forward Brent MacSween in a three way trade, trading defenseman Eric Main to Youngstown. Laredo acquired defenseman Gord Burnett from Youngstown.

MacSween played 40 games with the Laredo Bucks this season accumulating 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists), 53 penalty minutes and a +5 rating. In his CHL debut, MacSween led the Bucks to victory with a pair of goals and an assist. Laredo's record this season is 15-2 when he scored. He is expected to be in the Brahmas lineup this Friday against Austin.

The 22-year-old left winger played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) prior to turning professional this season. In four seasons in the QMJHL, MacSween played 183 games and collected 57 points (26 goals, 31 assists).

"It was a tough decision to give up Main as he did everything asked of him on the blueline," said Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong. "But when it came down to it we were in need of a nice scoring touch which I believe we have found in MacSween," he said.

Main played in 34 games with Texas recording 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) and 40 penalty minutes.

Following a two game road trip, the Brahmas will play at home Sunday, January 27 at 3:05 to face the Corpus Christi Rayz. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or go to www.brahmas.com.
