The first of three games in as many nights resulted in a 3-2 shootout loss for the Brahmas in Hidalgo, TX.

Midway through the game a penalty proved to be costly as the Bees scored a powerplay goal at the 12:09 mark in the middle frame. Heading into the final period with just over a minute remaining in regulation the Bees snuck a puck past Brahmas' goaltender, T.J. Black to send the game into overtime.

The shootout deemed to be inevitable with a scoreless OT period, and it ultimately took 7 shooters for each team until a netminder was unable to stop a puck. The Brahmas were not able to score in the shootout, ending the game in a 3-2 shootout loss.

Black stopped 24 shots on net and the Brahmas were 1 for 5 on the powerplay. They look to be victorious over the Bees tonight with a 7:30 pm faceoff.
