Quad City Mallards News Release

MOLINE, Ill. (April 3, 2013) - Colin Mulvey scored at 10:32 of overtime to give the Fort Worth Brahmas a 3-2 game three win over the host Quad City Mallards Wednesday night and push the Mallards to the brink of elimination best-of-seven opening round of the Central Hockey League Ray Miron President's Cup playoffs. The Mallards must win game four on home ice Friday night to avoid a sweep.

Mulvey pounced on a rebound to give the Brahmas the victory after the Mallards had twice battled from behind to tie the game in regulation.

Anthony Perdicaro scored the goal that eventually forced overtime by jamming in a rebound to even the score at two at 9:19 of the third period. Perdicaro provided a timely reply just less than three minutes after Eric Tallent's power play goal had snapped a 1-1 deadlock.

The Mallards had tied the game at one at 16:51 of the second period when Mickey Lang buried the rebound after Brahma goaltender Kristofer Westblom stopped Lang's initial close range bid.

The Brahmas produced the only goal of the first period while shorthanded. Calin Wild snapped a wrist shot home from the left wing circle to give Fort Worth a 1-0 lead at 10:09 of the first.
