Lone Star Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - The Brahmas turned the tables in their most recent trip to Odessa, completing a road sweep and picking up four points before entering their bye week.

FRIDAY (4-2 WIN)

Friday's game featured a comeback from the team, as they were down 2-0 to the Jackalopes after the first period. They went on, however, to tally the next four goals in the game, ultimately winning by a 4-2 final score.

Defenseman Blake Evennou kicked off the scoring for the Brahmas with a one-timer from the point.

It was his fifth goal of the season. All five goals have come on the power play.

Brahmas leading scorer Matt Guerra picked up the equalizer early in the third period, cleaning up a loose puck in the crease created by a Scott Persson point shot.

Kimball Johnson then sent a puck nearly 200 feet for the empty net goal to put the nail in the coffin for the Jackalopes late in the final frame.

SATURDAY (1-0 WIN)

Saturday's game displayed a little less offense but was an impressive showing by goaltender Harrison Feeney and the Brahmas' defense.

Feeney stopped all thirty shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the season.

The only goal of the game came in the third period, courtesy of Brahmas rookie forward Andrew DeCarlo.
