THE SERIES: It's just the third and fourth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Odessa Jackalopes. The Bulls picked up three out of a possible four points during a series in Odessa back in November on Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The two teams will still meet a total of eight times between now and the end of the regular seasons.

RUNNING OF THE BULLS: Amarillo Bulls head into action with an unbeaten streak of 20 games, (no losses in regulation since October 20th), a 12-game winning streak that ties a franchise mark, and a 17-point-lead on second place in the South Division. The Bulls have allowed two goals or less in six of their last seven games.

Logan Jenuwine has five goals in his last three games, and 19 points in his last eight games. Other players on a roll right now include, Gabriel Seger and Nick Anderson with 11 and 14 points respectively, in their last eight games.

JACKALOPES NEWS AND NOTES: It's been a tough stretch for the visiting Odessa Jackalopes who have dropped three in a row and just 2-8-0 in their last 10 games. The Jackalopes are nine points back of the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division and seven of their 12 wins have come when they have led after the opening period. Forward Jared Christy has led the way for the Jacks with 31 points including 13 goals, while defenseman James Crossman has 10. Odessa is the second most penalized team in the league behind their South Division opponent Shreveport Mudbugs.

ACROSS THE SOUTH: There are two other South Division match-ups this weekend as the Lone Star Brahmas entertain the Topeka Pilots at NYTEX Sports Center in North Richland Hills, TX. The two teams are tied for third place with 34 points. The Shreveport Mudbugs head south to take on the Corpus Christi IceRays in a key match-up there as both teams are tied for second place with 37 points.
