
Brahmas Blanked in Arizona

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona - The Brahmas were shut out by the Arizona Sundogs Friday night, falling by the final score of 3-0 at Tim's Toyota Center.
After game remained scoreless for forty minutes of play, the Sundogs scored three third-period goals to seal the victory. Zack Firlotte scored the game-winning goals on a slap shot from the point that snuck by Brahmas netminder Brad Fogal at the 3:43 mark. Kirill Tulupov and Jeff Kyrzakos added goals at 4:51 and 15:42, respectively.
Fogal made 26 saves on 29 shots faced between the posts for Fort Worth.
David Brown earned his second shutout of the season, both of which have come against the Brahmas. The Stoney Creek, Ontario native stopped all 26 shots he faced in net.
Brad Fogal took the loss, making 28 saves on 33 shots faced in net for Fort Worth. Kristofer Westblom saw 5:06 of action in the second period, stopping two of the three shots he faced.
Brown earned his 13th win of the season, stopping 22 of 24 shots for Arizona.
Both teams were blanked on the power play. Fort Worth went 0-for-5 on the man advantage, and Arizona went 0-for-3.
With the loss, the Brahmas remains in third place in the Central Hockey League, two points behind the Wichita Thunder and five points behind the first-place Allen Americans.
Fort Worth and Arizona will meet again tomorrow, Saturday, March 23 to finish out the regular season.
