
Bradenton Victorious Over Macon In Series Finale

Macon, GA- For the first time in 5 games the Bradenton Juice are in the win column as Bradenton knocked off the Macon Music 6-3 on Saturday night in Macon. Bradenton got solid pitching from four pitchers and timely hitting to lift the Juice to its 17th victory of the season.
Bradenton had to come from behind as the Music scored first in the Top of the 2nd inning. With two outs Rick Simpson hit an infield single and pitcher Ross Stout helped himself with a single to right field. Three batters later Dorian Rojas singled to left field driving home Simpson making it 1-0 Macon.
The Juice got on the scoreboard quickly in the second when Eddie Kim lifted a homer over the right field wall; the solo shot is Kim's 4th home run of the campaign.
Macon took the lead in the 4th when with two-outs KJ Hendricks was hit by a pitch and two batters later Dorian Rojas singled to left field plating Hendricks.
Just like in the 2nd Bradenton tied the game in the Bottom of the 4th with Eddie Kim smacking a double to left field and Mikela Olsen followed by reaching on an error by the shortstop Mike DeVeuax and Kim came around to score on the play tying the game at 2.
The big inning for the Juice was the 5th with pinch hitter Noah Peery reaching on an error and two batters later Julius Thames singled to right field. Al Corbeil followed with a two-out single to right that scored Peery. The next batter Eddie Kim hit his second double of the night to right field scoring Thames and Corbeil making it 5-3 Juice.
Bradenton added an insurance run in the 9th with Eddie Kim and Mikela Olsen drawing walks and Zach Woodward smacked a single to right field scoring Kim putting Bradenton up 6-3.
On the mound for the Juice RHP Luke Palmer (1-0) picked up the victory in his first appearance for Bradenton. Palmer pitched 5 innings, allowing 3 runs (all earned) on 6 hits, walking 4 and striking out 5. One of the top pitchers in the South Coast League RHP Ross Stout (4-2) takes the loss for Macon as he goes 5 innings, allowing 5 runs, 1 earned, on 7 hits, walking 0 and striking out 5 Juice batters.
The win is Bradenton's first in 6 tries at Luther Williams Field in Macon and it snaps the Juice's 4-game losing streak.
Of note for the Juice Eddie Kim went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 3 runs giving him 22 RBI for the year. Brenan Herrera was 2-3 with 2 singles and Steve Alverson picked up his league leading 7th save pitching a perfect 9th inning. On Saturday night Bradenton ended a 17 games in 20 days swing through South Carolina and Georgia with the Juice going 10-7 on the trip.
