Frisco RoughRiders News Release

FRISCO, Texas - Texas Rangers infielder Brad Miller is expected to rehab with the Frisco RoughRiders beginning on Tuesday when the RoughRiders take on the Amarillo Sod Poodles at 7:05 p.m.

A second-rounder in the 2011 draft by the Seattle Mariners, Miller bounced between six different organizations before the Rangers acquired Miller from free agency in March 2022. Prior to 2011, the Rangers initially drafted Miller in June 2008 out of Olympia High School before he departed to play his college ball at Clemson.

The native of Orlando, Florida, Miller registered stints with Seattle, Tampa Bay, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and St. Louis before joining the Rangers system. Prior to signing with the Rangers, Miller slugged 20 home runs in a season where he played more Major League games (140) since 2016 (152).

Miller missed action with the Rangers for just over a week and a half on the 10-day Injured List from a neck strain that was retroactive to July 18th. Miller made one appearance with Triple-A Round Rock on July 30th before the Rangers announced his rehab assignment with Frisco.

The RoughRiders begin a 12-game homestand Tuesday night against the Amarillo Sod Poodles with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. The Riders play 18 of their 26 games in August at Riders Field. Baseball Hall of Famer and Texas Rangers radio broadcaster Eric Nadel will be in attendance Wednesday night for a meet and greet, prior to a 7:05 p.m. first pitch against Amarillo as a part of Texas Baseball Legends at Riders Field.
