
Boyes powers Barons past Ducks, 3-2

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Brad Boyes scored a power play goal with 2:05 remaining in the third period to lift the Cleveland Barons to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Sunday at Gund Arena.
Miroslav Zalesak and Jesse Fibiger also scored for the Barons, who have won four of their last five games and moved above .500 (10-9-1-2) at home for the first time this season.
Seamus Kotyk made 27 saves to pick up the win and extend his unbeaten streak to eight games (7-0-1).
Casey Hankinson and Pierre Parenteau each had a goal and an assist for Cincinnati, which is winless in its last three games (0-2-1-0). Hankinson extended his point streak to a season-high seven games with his seventh multiple-point effort.
Eddy Ferhi stopped 27 shots in the loss for the Ducks, who complete a two-game road trip Tuesday in Houston.
