Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Amarillo, TX 5/4/09 - Michelle McFadden, the Box Office Director for the Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League, has captured CHL Employee of the Month honors for April 2009.
A two-year veteran of the Gorillas' front office, McFadden edged out nominees from the other 15 CHL franchises for the award.
"I was very surprised when (Gorillas GM) Robert Simmons told me about the award this morning," said McFadden. "It is an honor to be selected as the CHL Employee of the Month, especially when there are so many great employees in the front offices of all the Central Hockey League teams."
The Olton, Texas native was brought on board by the Amarillo Gorillas in August of 2007 to assist with ticketing operations. Since then, McFadden has progressed to her current post as Box Office Director, all while assisting in the fields of community relations and operations.
"Michelle works very hard to make the Gorillas a success in the Texas Panhandle," said Simmons. "She takes every aspect of her job seriously, and is a tremendous asset to our organization."
In addition to her work with the Gorillas, the West Texas A & M alum works with the Amarillo Dusters of the af2 in the same capacity. McFadden currently resides in Amarillo, and continues to be active in her sorority, Delta Zeta.
