Boulders Take Series despite Finale Loss
August 11, 2019 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
New York Boulders News Release
The Rockland Boulders (36-39) fell to the Quebec Capitales (29-46) 3-1 in the finale of their weekend series. Even with the defeat, the Boulders still won two out of three against Quebec as part of a 3-2 homestand.
Quebec jumped in front in the fourth with a two run single from Yordan Manduley and tacked on another run in the eighth. The only Boulders' offense came in the eighth, when Grant Heyman launched his 11th homer of the season.
Rockland did not lose any ground in the standings today, maintaining a 6.5 game lead over fifth place Ottawa for the final Can-Am Playoff spot after the Champions lost earlier in the day. The Boulders hit the road for a three game trip to Trois-Rivieres beginning on Tuesday, with first pitch for the opener scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Stade Stereo Plus.
