Boston Breakers Wrap-Up Preseason with Final Match Saturday against UConn

HANOVER, Mass. (March 31, 2015) - The Boston Breakers will play their final game of the 2015 preseason on Saturday, April 4 against the University of Connecticut. The match wi?ll take place at 7 p.m. at ForeKicks Sports Complex in Marlborough, Mass.

This is the second straight preseason in which the Breakers have played UConn. Last year, the Breakers came away with a 6-0 win. Maddy Evans led the way with three goals while Katie Schoepfer added one goal, and keeper Jami Kranich earned her first shutout of the preseason.

The Breakers opened the 2015 preseason with a 4-0 win over Boston College before heading to Florida for a pair of games against the Jamaican Women's National Team. The Breakers beat Jamaica twice, both 5-0 results. In each match, five different players scored with Cat Whitehill and Kristie Mewis tallying one goal in each game.

The Boston Breakers open the 2015 NWSL season on Saturday, April 11, at Portland Thorns FC before returning to Boston for their home debut. The Breakers host the Houston Dash on Sunday, April 26, at 5 p.m.at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium in Allston, Mass.
