Boston Breakers Announce Updated Preseason Roster

WATERTOWN, Mass. - The Boston Breakers announced today their updated roster for the second week of the 2016 NWSL preseason.
Defender Bianca Calderone, midfielders Jo Blankenship, Katie Ponce, and Clare Pleuler, and forwards Jenna Fisher and Katie Lenz are no longer in camp.
Under new head coach Matt Beard, the Breakers opened their preseason schedule Sunday night at Parsons Field in Brookline, Mass., beating Northeastern University, 7-0.
The Breakers preseason roster features 12 returning players from the 2015 team, including last year's leading scorer, midfielder Kristie Mewis, 2015 Breakers Rookie of the Year Stephanie McCaffrey, as well as veterans Katie Schoepfer, Julie King, and Mollie Pathman.
The Breakers head to Jacksonville, Fla. Wednesday to begin an eight-day preseason camp, which includes matches against Florida State University (March 25) and the Florida Elite Soccer Academy U16/17 boys (March 30).
