Boston Blazers Beat Stealth 16-10 to Stretch Winning Streak to Five Games

Boston - The Boston Blazers continued their winning ways with a decisive 16-10 victory over the San Jose Stealth in front of 6, 833 fans at the TD Banknorth Garden tonight. With the victory, Boston extended their winning streak to five games to remain perfect for the month.

Boston started slowly as the Stealth jumped out to a 4-2 lead at the end of the first period before the Blazers regained control scoring five straight times and outscoring San Jose 7-2 to close out the half leading 8-6.

Boston never looked back the rest of the way as the team cruised to its seventh win of the season. With the victory, the Blazers are 7-3 and have won seven of their last eight games after beginning the season 0-2.

Dan Dawson, the reigning NLL Player of the Week, stayed true to form leading the Blazers with four goals and five assists, while Matt Lyons and Brenden Thenhaus each scored three goals and three assists in the winning effort. Other contributors for Boston included Daryl Veltman who scored two goals and five assists, while four others added singles. Anthony Cosmo made 26 saves in the win.

Cam Sedgwick., Jeff Zywicki, Tom Johnson and Colin Doyle each scored twice for San Jose. Matt Roik was credited the loss in goal as the Stealth fell to 3-5.
