Boston Blazers Announce Preseason Schedule

Boston, MA (November 18, 2010) The Boston Blazers announced their upcoming preseason schedule today including three weekends of training camp and a scrimmage as they battle for their first Champions Cup.

The Blazers will kick off pre-season with an open tryout this Saturday, November 20 at 8am at Teamworks in Revere, MA. Players will participate in two 2-hour sessions and selected individuals will be invited to participate in the Blazers 2011 training camp.

Following tryouts, Boston will hold two consecutive weekends of training camp at Teamworks Revere on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5 as well as on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12. These practices will mark the first time offensive powerhouses Dan Dawson, Casey Powell, and Josh Sanderson practice together.

Blazers Head Coach Tom Ryan expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season as he sees "the excitement among the players and coaching staff as inspiring.We realize what a tremendous opportunity we are faced with and I am committed to doing everything within my power to make the most of this season."

On Saturday, December 18, the Blazers travel to the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Six Nations to play their only preseason match-up against the Rochester Knighthawks who they will face three times in the upcoming regular season. The scrimmage which is free to the public will be held from 11:00am until 2:00pm.

The final weekend of camp will be Saturday, December 31 and Sunday, January 1 before the Blazers season opener on the road against the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday, January 8 at 7:00pm at the Wells Fargo Center.

Boston hosts its home opener on Saturday, January 15 at 7:30pm against the Edmonton Rush at the TD Garden. Season and individual tickets are available for purchase at blazerslacrosse.com or by phone at 888-BLAZERS.
