THE STAKES: The Battle Wings have a 3-game win streak at stake tonight, and with a win could move closer to a wild card spot in the playoffs.

THE SERIES: The Twisters hold a 4-2 lead in the series. The Battle Wings won two in a row from Arkansas after the initial Twisters win in 2001, but Arkansas has won the last three meetings (61-51, 57-54 and 47-21).

NOTES: The Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings have never lost a game this season when they scored more than 60 points. Friday is Military Appreciation Night at the CenturyTel Center.

HEAD COACHES: First-year Battle Wings head coach Keith Barefield's resume includes 19 years in the field, 10 as head coach at Evangel University in Springfield, MO where he compiled a 66-33-2 record. He coached 48 All-Americans before moving to San Antonio's Cornerstone Christian School to begin the football program there. While at Cornerstone, Barefield compiled a 23-2 record in two years at the helm including the 2002 Texas state championship.
Just recently, Barefield has been named the offensive coordinator at national prep power Evangel Christian in Shreveport (1999 National Champions in seven separate polls).

Arkansas: Former Arkansas Razorback great Gary Anderson enters his third season as the Head Coach of the Arkansas Twisters. Anderson, 40, was promoted to head coach prior to the 2001 after spending the inaugural Twisters season as an assistant coach in charge of special teams and running backs.

Anderson starred at running back and wide receiver for the University of Arkansas from 1979-82 and is regarded as one of the best athletes to ever play for the Razorbacks. He finished his college career with 392 rushes for 1999 yards and 94 receptions for 1075 yards. Anderson was voted as a member of the Razorback's All-Decade team for the 1980's.

Anderson was a first-round draft pick in the NFL and USFL. He played for Tampa Bay, San Diego and Detroit in the NFL.
