Bismarck Bobcats News Release

Bismarck Bobcats goaltender David Bosner has verbally committed to play for the Air Force Academy beginning next season. Bosner is one of the top goalies this season in the North American Hockey League with an 8-5-1 record, goals allowed average (GAA) of 1.88 per game, and save percentage of 93.1%.

The Missouri native is pleased to have the search for Division I schools over. "It's kind of hard to describe what I'm feeling right now," said Bosner. "I just know that reality has hit me and that I've finally accomplished a lifelong dream."

Bosner's mom and dad were thrilled to see their son commit to the Air Force Academy. "(They) are very excited," Bosner said. "(They) came with me to Colorado Springs (Colorado) and were convinced that it was the place for me. They're passionate and caring people. However, my parents said it was my decision to make."

Bobcat Head Coach Byron Pool said, "We're extremely happy for David. He has worked hard to get this opportunity."

Though Bosner has committed to play for Air Force Academy next season, he does not want to look past this season in front of him.

"Nothing has changed for me personally. I still need to prove to Air Force that they made the right decision on me. I want to be their guy as soon as possible, so I need to continue to play well. The team (Bobcats) has goals this season to win the Central Division and play at Nationals - to me that is more important right now."

The Bobcats next game is this Friday night at the Alexandria Blizzard. You can watch the game online through the B2 Networks and listen to it on Super Talk 1270AM. "The Dvorak Motors Pre-Game Show" starts at 6:30pm CST with the "Voice of the Bobcats," Skip Berry. You can e-mail the broadcast booth at bobcats1270@gmail.com
