Rockford Lightning News Release

Rockford, IL- When the Rockford Lightning return to action on February 22, they will be without the services of guard Stais Boseman. The Continental Basketball Association announced yesterday that Boseman will be fined and suspended for one game, due to public criticism of officials in the January 15 game at Idaho, and the Lightning's last home game against Yakima on February 13. Boseman received technical fouls in both of those contests, after disagreeing with the officiating in those games.

"Stais is extremely comeptive and he carries an edge. I knew that when I signed him last summer. He is very loyal, hard working and dedicated to the Lightning organization and myself, and I will remain loyal to him. Stais has to continue to work on channeling his emotions into a more positive direction and the coaching staff has to do a better job in helping Stais to do that," says Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo.

Rockford faces off against the Idaho Stampede in their next home game on Tuesday, February 22, as part of back-to-back home games at the MetroCentre. Tip off between the Lightning and Stampede is at 7:05 p.m., with the lovely and talented Rockford Lightning Girls dance team to perform at halftime. All kids 12 and under with a paying adult are half price tickets, so order your tickets by calling the MetroCentre box office at 815-968-5222.
