
Boomers Announce Postponement of March 15 Open Tryout, Rescheduled for March 28

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The two-time defending champion Schaumburg Boomers and 2013 Frontier League Manager of the Year Jamie Bennett have announced the postponement of their scheduled March 14th multi-team tryout camp at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The camp held in conjunction with the Gary SouthShore RailCats, Evansville Otters, Lake Erie Crushers and Frontier Greys, has been rescheduled for March 28 at Woody Hunt Stadium on the campus of Cumberland University with March 29th held back for weather delays.
Registration will take place on the day of the tryout and the cost is $65 per player. This will be an open tryout for any player age 18 and older who is not under contract or currently playing collegiately. Players should come dressed in proper baseball attire and will need to provide their own equipment, including wood bats and catchers gear. Position players should report no later than 9 a.m. and pitchers no later than 12:30 p.m.
