BATTLE CREEK, MI - An error by Rafters second baseman Austin Neary brought home Jeremy Shay with the winning run from second base, and the Battle Creek Bombers earned a hard fought come from behind 7-6 win in 10 innings on Monday night.

The man who hit the final ball was Colin Willis, which was quite fitting. Willis continued his extremely hot hitting by going three for four with a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. Willis tallied seven hits in the two game series and moved his team leading batting average up to .323.

Battle Creek was down 6-1, but fought back late. Daniel Rockett drove in Willis from third with two outs in the ninth inning to tie the game. Rockett picked up three hits and two RBI on the night.

Kyle Teague recorded his second win in his first relief appearance of the season. The right-hander pitched two shutout innings out of the Bombers bullpen.

The win secured a series split for the Bomb Squad. They are now 2-3 in extra inning games. Battle Creek opens up the final series of the first half with the first of two on Tuesday night against La Crosse. Brian Valente will get the start for the Bombers.

The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the prestigious Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.
