Bombers Set to Begin Four-Game Homestead Following Season Sweep of Marshals

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 15, 2015) - On Thursday, July 16, the Brazos Valley Bombers will be resuming the home portion of the second-half of the 2015 season at Cellucor Field, beginning a four-game homestand Thursday night against the Acadiana Cane Cutters.

Thursday night's weekly promotion is Thirsty Thursday, courtesy of Western Beverages. Beer, soft drinks, and margaritas will be one dollar all night long. Thursday will also be Bright White Night, sponsored by Modern Dentistry, with an Improv Comedy show taking place at Cellucor Field. Friday night will be the second game of the two-game series against the Cane Cutters, as well as St. Patty's Day in July at Cellucor Field with special St. Patrick's Day-themed uniforms to be worn by the players, sponsored by Brazos Valley Trash Valet. Friday the 17th will also be FANtastic Friday and after the game, Black Irish Texas will be performing live at Cellucor Field.

The last time the Bombers were in action was a double-header on the road July 14 against the Texas Marshals. The Bombers won both games by scores of 4-1 and 5-1 to complete a perfect 11-0 record against the Marshals this season. TCL All-Star Matt Hilston led the charge on offense in the first game, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and his ninth double of the season. Callaway Kirkpatrick started on the mound for the Bombers and almost pitched a complete game, falling one out short while only allowing one run to earn the victory.

In the second game, the Bombers rode a 4-run third inning to victory to complete the season sweep of the Marshals. TCL All-Star starter Geonte Jackson went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI, and a stolen base. Starting pitcher Heston Van Fleet threw six innings; allowing one run, while striking out eight Marshals hitters.
