Dayton Bombers News Release
Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam announced today the return of forwards Mike Berry and Matt Isbister from the 2007 American Conference Championship squad. Per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Berry, 24, returns to the Bombers after being acquired from the Toledo Storm early in the 2006-07 season. The Kanata, Ontario, native appeared in 52 regular season games, tallying 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points while picking up 64 PIM. The five-foot-eleven-inch, 180-pound right winger also recorded one goal and two assists during the 2007 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
"When Mike joined us last year he brought skill and offensive ability," MacAdam said. "This season we expect him to bring a consistent offensive presence to our game."
Center Matt Isbister, a 21-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta, joined the Bombers late in 2007, appearing in just three regular season games. Isbister scored his first professional goal during the Bombers final regular season game on April 7, 2007. The 6'1", 195-pound Isbister spent the majority of the 2006-07 season with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL, where he picked up thirty points (14G, 16A) in 64 games.
"Matt has a lot of determination," said MacAdam. "We feel strongly that he'll make a solid contribution of skill this year."
